Downtown Whitewater, in its continued efforts to revitalize the downtown area, is holding its second case raffle fundraiser with prizes of $1,000, $750 and $500 to some lucky winners.
The raffle tickets are $50 each with only 200 available, increasing the odds of winning. The drawing will be held Tuesday, July 29 at Fat Jack’s at 7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will kick off the drawing festivities at 6 p.m. though the winner(s) need not be present to win.
Tickets are available the Downtown Whitewater office, 150 W. Main St., or by calling (262) 473-2200. They can also be purchased at: Associated Bank, Commercial Bank, First Citizens State Bank, GMA Printing, and Quiet Hut or through any Downtown Whitewater Inc. Board members including: Joe Jaquess of FrameDog Custom Framing & Gifts; Kim Scharine of GMA Printing and Founding Board Member; Kristine Zaballos, Community Member; Dave Saalsaa of Quiet Hut Sports, Community Member; Roni Telfer, Community Member; Sara Amiri; Community Member; Brienne Diebolt-Brown; Mark Wokasch of Fat Jacks; City Manager Cameron Clapper; Dennis Kopf of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Glenn Gebauer of Associated Bank.
Funds raised will continue to support the work of Downtown Whitewater to revitalize and preserve the downtown triangle businesses and continue to help lessen the burden of city government by providing services such as sidewalk and street clean sweep events, and through the purchase, storage and maintenance of winter decorations for the triangle area.
Other projects Downtown Whitewater has assisted with include: purchasing electrical upgrades in Cravath Lake Park to make it more user-friendly, and sponsorship of the Christmas Parade of Lights, Trick or Treat the Triangle, Pig in the Park and Jack Hanna Wild Animal programs.
