The City of Whitewater Department of Public Works announced this week that it will conduct a leaf and yard waste collection the week of April 14. Residents are advised to place bagged yard waste on the curb by Monday, April 14.
Yard waste must be bagged in clear or transparent bags only and will not be collected if not bagged properly or if placed in non-transparent or black bags.
Brush will not be collected during the yard waste collection. Residents can request brush collection pick up by calling (262) 473-0542 to make an appointment for pickup on Tuesdays.
The compost site will open beginning on Saturday, April 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The city also reminds residents that it is against city ordinance to deposit any yard waste debris on city streets or right of ways other than on days designated by the City of Whitewater.
