Dec. 7 event to include photos, coloring, music
The UW-W/Community Optimist Club will once again host an important community event – Breakfast with Santa, slated 8-11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Esker Dining Hall on the UW-Whitewater campus.
Children, young and not so young are invited to attend this family-friendly holiday tradition. Last year’s event – the 21st anniversary – served more than 600 people and event organizers are hoping to top that number in this, it’s 21st year.
Santa, Mrs. Claus and several of their elves will greet children, their parents, grandparents and friends. Children can sit on Santa’s lap and share their Christmas wishes while having their photo taken. Frosty the Snowman will also be on hand for a fun, photo opportunity.
The event will also feature a breakfast that will include French toast with syrup, sausage, donut holes, and a selection of juices, milk, and coffee.
Each child that attends will also receive a “goodie” bag from Santa’s elves. Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras to record the fun.
Adding to the fun the coloring/story book corner will once again be available for kids and music will be provided courtesy of various local music groups.
The cost is $4 for adults and $1 for children. Tickets for those families registered at the Whitewater Food pantry are available through Susan Hiscox.
Esker Hall is located at the corner of North Prairie and E. Lauderdale Drive, near the Wells Hall complex on the UW-Whitewater campus. There is ample parking available on the north side of the building near the north entrance door.
