Last week, a local restaurant offered a little extra support to the Whitewater Middle School Parent Teacher Organization.
Ken Dahnert, owner of Rocky Rococo of Whitewater, donated 20 percent of the restaurant’s sales earned between 4 and 8 p.m., Oct. 14 – for a total donation of $350.
“We are thankful to Rocky Rococo for generously donating to the Whitewater Middle School Parent Teacher Organization to help raise funds for our kids. WMS has a terrific team of students, teachers and staff, and this fundraiser will help us to better meet their needs,” Dr. Tanya Wojciechowicz, principal of Whitewater Middle School, said.
The Whitewater Middle School Parent Teacher Organization regularly supports 6th Grade Native American Day, 6th Grade World Tour, 7th Grade Washington D.C. Trip, 8th Grade World of Disney Trip, school-wide positive reinforcement activities, state testing (provides snacks), the All-School Picnic, “Make a Difference Day,” and much more with all proceeds going directly to help students of the school.
More than 430 students attend the Whitewater Middle School, located on 401 S. Elizabeth St. The school’s mission is to ensure that individual students achieve at the highest level in a challenging curriculum of academics and the arts, while supporting physical, social, emotional, and civic development collaboratively with parents and the community in a safe, caring, and positive environment.
