The Whitewater High School Vocal Music Department is in the final preparation stage for its first concert of the school year, set for 7:30 p.m. tonight, Oct. 16.
The Mixed Chorus will kickoff the concert with a wide variety of selections including Vivaldi’s “Credo” and “And All That Jazz” from Broadway’s “Chicago.”
Also singing a variety of tunes will be the Senior Choir including “Ma Navu” – a Jewish folksong, “Peace Be With You” – a piece some of the members will be signing to and a medley of songs by George N. Cohan.
There will be two songs performed from the fall musical, “Miracle on 34th Street,” the classical movie that was made into a musical. The musical is set for Nov. 21-23 and will feature the talents of students from throughout the school district.
Tonight’s concert will be directed by Lori Heidenreich. There is no cost to attend the event, which will take place in the auditorium of the high school.
