The UW-Whitewater/Community Optimist Club will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at Starin Park.
The event, open to grade school age children, will feature the Easter Bunny arriving by fire truck at 10:45 a.m. and a visit by McGruff, the crime dog.
Pastor Wendt will provide the invocation prior to the hunt. There is no rain date and families should dress for the weather.
Children will be broken up into age groups and the finder of the “special egg” will be awarded a large Easter basket filled with goodies.
All children in attendance will receive a bag of goodies.
Whitewater Wal-Mart provided a monetary donation for the event.
