The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s basketball team is now 24th in the D3Hoops.com poll.
The Warhawks won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and finished second in the WIAC postseason tournament.
The team has earned its sixth consecutive NCAA tournament berth, and has also been selected to host the first and second rounds of this year’s NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Warhawks will face off against in-state opponent Wisconsin Lutheran College, 25-2, Friday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament in Whitewater. The tourney continues Saturday at 7 p.m. in Kachel Gym of Williams Center.
