Whitewater High School, 534 S. Elizabeth St., will hold a special event on Tuesday, Jan. 15 to mark the 50th anniversary of wrestling at the school.
At 7 p.m., before the Whippets’ conference match against Evansville, there will be a lineup reflecting the program’s past 50 years.
“We would like to recognize all of the wrestlers that ever took the mat for Whitewater – especially the true ‘pioneers’ for Whitewater in the sport of wrestling,” said organizers.
All wrestling alumni, including wrestlers, coaches, cheerleaders and other team helpers are invited to attend. The public is welcome.
