Participants, sponsors and prizes needed for event
The Walworth Fire Department and Geneva Lake West Chamber of Commerce are set to host what organizers are predicting will be an enjoyable and worthwhile event at this year’s annual golf outing.
The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Evergreen Country Club with a start time of 10:45 a.m., noon shot-gun start, and 5 p.m., dinner and prizes.
“Last year’s Open was a huge success and we hope we can count on your participation,” according to organizers.
There are many ways to participate including the following:
- $90 per golfer (includes lunch, 18 holes of golf with cart and pig roast dinner. Aug. 7 deadline or increase to $120);
- $90 to sponsor a hole (Aug. 7 deadline or increase to $120);
- Donate a raffle prize
- Donate 160 goody bag items for the golfers;
- Become a silver ($500) or gold ($1,000) level sponsor and get special recognition for your business. The gold sponsorship includes golf for four, hole sponsor and name on a banner while the silver sponsorship is the same other than covering golfing for one person;
- Attend the dinner only ($20.)
To register a golf foursome, become a hole sponsor, donate a prize for the raffle or prizes for the goody bags, or register as a dinner-only attendee visit the chamber’s website at genevalakewest.com. Once there, click on the golf icon on the right-hand side of the home page under “Event Links.”
“We are especially in need of prizes for our ever-popular raffle drawing,” organizers stated. “We’ve kept the same registration fees as last year, but the early-bird deadline is Aug. 7. After that date, prices will increase.”
