The Walworth County Historical Society has been hosting programs this summer with its “Thursdays at Three” lecture series.
The last lecture in the series, Aug. 17 at 3 p.m., will feature “Pull up a Chair… Let’s Take a Walk: Lake Geneva” with speaker Michael Rehberg at Heritage Hall, Elkhorn.
Rehberg will reveal how Geneva Lake got started and cover periods of glaciers, Native Americans, waterpower, early settlers, prominent citizen, architectural gems, historical mileposts and much more covering 200 years of stories from the comfort of your chair. He is a year-round Lake Como resident and has been coming to the area for over 50 years. Recently retired from a career in the newspaper industry, Rehberg is now the Lead Interpreter at Black Point Estate and Gardens.
Heritage Hall is at 103 E. Rockwell on the corner of South Washington in Elkhorn. There is no admission charge but donations to the Society would be gratefully accepted.
