Historical Society to host meeting Thursday
At the meeting of the Historical Society of Walworth and Big Foot Prairie on Jan. 26, people will show historical items and tell stories.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the lower-level community room of Golden Years Retirement Village, 270 Ridge Rd., Walworth.
Information about area history will be shared, and old clothing, tools and artifacts will be shown. Stories about ancestors will be told, and family photos, scrapbooks and antiques will be displayed.
The society also will conduct its annual meeting. Board members will be elected, and 2016 activities will be noted.

Membership dues for 2017 may be paid at the Jan. 26 meeting or sent to the historical society at P.O. Box 336, Walworth, WI 53184.
The types of memberships and dues offered for the historical society include: student, $6; senior, $8; individual, $10; family, $20; business, $40; and patron, $100.
