Habitat for Humanity in Walworth County recently completed a build in the Village of Bloomfield. The organization is now beginning the process of selecting a family for another home in the Bloomfield area.
The family selection committee, which is part of Habitat in Walworth County, is currently interviewing applicants and making home visits to narrow down the selection. The committee is also preparing to assist the chosen family through the homebuilding process while also providing them with educational guidance along the way.
“We are thrilled to be starting another home build in Bloomfield and helping a new family become vital neighbors and find their way into affordable housing. Our hope is to select a family this Spring, and begin the design and build process this Summer,” said Larry Green, Executive Director of Habitat in Walworth County.
Given that Habitat in Walworth County is planning a build this year, there will be plenty of opportunity for volunteers to be involved in the process from start to finish, as they are always looking for volunteers to assist.
