Keefe Kares to host ‘Magic of Giving’

The Keefe Kares Foundation, the charitable arm of Keefe Real Estate, has announced the annual Keefe Kares Celebration will be a live-stream telethon-style event this year.

The 6th annual celebration is set for Friday, Nov. 6, and will be broadcast from the stage of Tristan Crist’s Magic Theatre in Lake Geneva.

As a result of uncertainty because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Keefe has decided to shift its traditional, in-person event to a new and exciting virtual format. This year’s event, “The Magic of Giving,” will include a silent and live auction and a paddle raise, all while highlighting some of the individual nonprofits that will benefit from funds raised.

“We’re excited to hold our annual Keefe Kares Celebration, as the telethon format will be a great way to still raise funds for our local organizations,” Keefe Real Estate President and CEO Tom Keefe said. “In these unprecedented times, it’s important for us to bring much needed assistance to our local community.”

Keefe Kares’ mission is to support local non-profits that work to improve their direct communities. The event is an annual fundraising event to benefit 35-plus nonprofit organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin and McHenry County in Illinois, where Keefe conducts real estate brokerage business.

The telethon’s presenting sponsors are Engerman Contracting Inc. and Kunes Country Auto Group. Additional event sponsors include: Sottrel Hotel Group, Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation, Dreiske Moving & Storage, Kunes, Sweet and Maier S.C., First Midwest Bank of McHenry, Tri-County Home Inspection LLC, Southeastern Title LLC, Wells Fargo Private Mortgage, Draper and Kramer and First Business Bank.

Keefe Kares is encouraging home viewing parties and participation via social media by using the hashtags #keefekares and #magicofgiving.
