The Williams Bay Women’s Civic League will have its 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Lion’s Field House in Williams Bay.
The popular event is held during the Williams Bay Business Association’s “Day in the Bay” festivities.
Serving from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., local residents and visitors can enjoy samples of chili from the following 12 area restaurants: The Abbey, Chuck’s, Fiddlesticks, The Hunt Club, JoJo’s, Luckes, Pier 290, Red Dogs, South Shore Bar and Grill, Mars, and Evergreen Country Club.
Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10. Tickets are available at the door.
Dessert, Beer, Wine, Soda and water will also be available for purchase.
The restaurants compete for the “People’s Choice” awards and bragging rights for the top chili in the lakes area.
The Women’s Civic League is dedicated to service and fundraising to benefit and enhance the lives of area youth. Meetings are held September through May on the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m.
With a 70-year history of service, programs and fundraising, the Civic League has donated more than $200,000 to area schools, organizations and groups who support the youth of the Geneva Lake area.
