The on-ramp at the highways 12 and 50 interchange will close at 7 a.m. Tuesday and re-open around 8 p.m.
The closure was previously scheduled to take place Monday but the paving contractor’s asphalt producing plant broke down, putting crews a day behind schedule.
Beginning at 7 a.m., the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is scheduled to close the entrance ramp from Highway 50 to westbound Highway 12. The closure is expected to last until 8 p.m.
The detour for westbound Highway 50 motorists will be:
- Proceed through the highways 12 and 50 interchange to access Edwards Boulevard;
- Go north on Edwards Boulevard, continuing as it turns into Sheridan Springs Road;
- Continue west on Sheridan Springs Road to County Road H;
- Go east on County Road H to access the Highway 12 westbound on-ramp at the Highway 120 interchange.
The closure is needed to complete asphalt paving where the ramp matches into Highway 12 westbound.
