Three people were killed Wednesday night is a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Bloomfield.
All three were pronounced dead by the Walworth County coroner at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to a press release issued by Bloomfield Police Chief Lloyd Cole.
According to the release, an officer who responded to the scene on Highway B east of Spring Creek Road discovered two vehicles with severe front-end damage. One of the two vehicles came to rest on its roof.
A female driver was the lone occupant of one of the vehicles. A driver and a passenger, whose ages and sex were not released, were in the other vehicle.
Cole said in the release that the names of the deceased are not being released pending notification of family.
He also said it was not immediately known whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit is assisting with the investigation, according to the release.
Highway B was closed for about 4-1/2 hours while the crash was investigated. Town of Linn police, Genoa City police and Bloomfield-Genoa City Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
