Election results in no upsets, one six-vote win

Tuesday’s election resulted in no upsets but the election of newcomer to an open seat on the Lake Geneva Common Council by six votes.

In two contested school board races, incumbents retained their seats. Vote totals, according to unofficial results Tuesday, are:

Races for the Town of Linn representative on the high school board and the Brookwood Elementary School Board were uncontested. Incumbents Niki Ceisel and Jaye E. Tritz retained the seats uncontested.

Three people were elected to the Genoa City Village Board uncontested – Cheri Borowiec and incumbents Kenneth Parker and Eric Boxer.

For the Third District aldermanic seat in the City of Lake Geneva, financial consultant Bob Kordus was elected by a six-vote margin over former alderman Richard Peterson to fill the seat of alderman Bill Mott, who did not seek re-election. Vote totals are:

All other races in the City of Lake Geneva were uncontested. Jim Connors was re-elected as mayor; Dan Draper, as city attorney; Jeff Wall, as District 2 alderman; and Sarah Hill, as District 4 alderman. Elizabeth Chappell was elected uncontested to fill Gary Hougen’s First District aldermanic seat.
