Knights of Columbus Mother Seton Assembly 1685 of Elkhorn recently presented Walworth County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Schiltz with the “Thin Blue Line” flag. It was presented in honor of his service as a Walworth County Sheriff’s Deputy and Town of Burlington Police Officer, as well as his many years of community service with the Knights of Columbus.

The presentation took place July 15 at the Walworth County Law Enforcement Center in Elkhorn, and was attended by Sir Knights Wayne Bush, Brian Daniel and Bob Kordus from the Knights of Columbus; Walworth County Sheriff Kurt Picknell; law enforcement colleagues, and Schiltz family members.

“The Thin Blue Line flag represents the role that law enforcement plays in keeping order in our society,” Bush said. “This award is aligned with the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus, known as the Patriotic Degree, which primarily assists military veterans but is also extended to law enforcement members who serve and protect our communities. Today, we honor one of our own who has served exemplarily.”

“Deputy Robert Schiltz is deserving of this Knights of Columbus recognition for his professional dedication to law enforcement and his volunteer activities in the community,” Picknell added.

The Knights’ nearly two million members share a commitment to investing their time, efforts and resources into activities that reflect their faith and values.

The Knights of Columbus is also a top-rated Fortune 1000 insurance company.
