52nd annual pork chop dinner to be drive-thru only
The Walworth County Fairgrounds, 411 E. Court St., Elkhorn, will continue the 52-year tradition showcasing a delicious pork chop meal ready for area families to enjoy but the dinner will be run differently this year.
The Wednesday, June 24 event will have two drive-thru lanes and will be drive-thru only to protect supporters and volunteers. The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. that evening.
A meal will include two boneless pork chops, baked potato, apple sauce, bread, butter and sour cream. Drinks will not be available this year.
Tickets are $11 in advance (or via online purchase) and $13 at the event. If possible, tickets should be purchased in advance or online and printed out to limit the amount of contact needed at the drive-thru.
Advance tickets are being sold at Frank’s Piggly Wiggly in Elkhorn and East Troy, Sorg’s Quality Meats in Darien, Wilson’s Farm Meats in Elkhorn, Lake Geneva Country Meats, Stinebrink’s Piggly Wiggly in Delavan and Lake Geneva, Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce, Simons Feed & Seed in Elkhorn, Daniels Sentry in Walworth and from Walworth County Fair Board members.
To purchase online tickets visit eventbrite.com and search “Pork Chop Cookout” and then select the event from the drop down menu.
