Walworth County will host an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Health and Human Services facility designed by Venture Architects.
The ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at 1910 Highway NN, on the north side of the road, between the Walworth County Judicial Center and Lakeland Health Care Center. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
There will be a brief program to commemorate the new building with refreshments to follow. Tours of the facility will also be available.
About the facility:
• Groundbreaking was in August 2018 and staff moved into the facility in December 2019;
• 71,200-square-foot facility houses the following programs – Behavioral Health, Public Health, Children and Families, Long Term Care (which includes the Aging and Disability Resource Center or ADRC of Walworth County), Economic Support (part of the Moraine Lakes Consortium) along with fiscal and administrative offices; and
• The project was completed for less than $22 million using available funds – no loans or bonds were needed to pay for the facility.
