Special ride

In memory of Lane Schweitzer, who died March 27 in a motorcycle crash near his home north of Elkhorn, a Ride For Lane event was held April 21. It began at Frank’s Piggly Wiggly and the route included a stop at the site where Schweitzer’s accident occurred. His mom and sister, Judy and Cheyenne, stand near Lane’s truck, Big Blue, which they drove. See more photos in the May 2 Independent. (Dave Dresdow photo)
