• Army Pfc. Lloyd J. Lobdell, who was born in Elkhorn, died in World War II in 1942, and whose remains were identified last summer through DNA testing, is laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii
• City of Elkhorn aldermen, following a lengthy discussion, vote to deny a contract for planning services for Babe Mann Park
• VIP Services, Inc. celebrates the courage and determination of its clients and honors its 2017 community partners at the 33rd annual recognition dinner
• A review of what’s on the ballot for the Feb. 20 primary election
• Elkhorn Area High School – in partnership with the Elkhorn Police Department and Walworth County Crime Stoppers – is one of the first schools in the area to implement a program that utilizes technology to allow students to report incidents anonymously
• In sports… the boys basketball team reels off six straight victories, the Elks swim team captures sectional title, the girls hoops team prepares to start the postseason and EAHS grapplers win the regional title.
