Lakeland’s Little Learners receives grant

A local preschool – Lakeland’s Little Learners, Elkhorn – recently announced it received a grant from the Lori Genske Endowment Fund, of the Elkhorn Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc.

The grant will support surfacing of the preschool playground.

“The center is excited to have a new poured rubber surface under and surrounding the playground equipment to make a fun, safe outdoor experience,” a press release about the grant stated.

Adams said the grant is especially exciting as Lori Genske worked with Lakeland’s Little Learners years ago in helping to care for and educate the children.

This grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Lori Genske Endowment Fund of the Elkhorn Fund. The Lori Genske Endowment fund of the Elkhorn Fund is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of our communities. Grants from the Lori Genske Endowment Fund of the Elkhorn Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human services and historic preservation.
