Lakeland Bakery is holding an anniversary open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at the bakery, 421 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.
The bakery will be hosting raffles, entertainment, music, face painting and more. Staff will also be serving up hot dogs, brats and hamburgers.
The event is free and open to the public.
This year marks the bakery’s second year under the leadership of owner Anna Griffin. The bakery was originally opened in 1959 by the Nettekoven family and Griffin has strived to honor and carry on the bakery’s legacy and standards since assuming ownership.
Lakeland Bakery, a full services bakery, offers numerous products and services from off the shelf ready to grab bakery items to custom cakes, breakfast catering and wedding cakes.
The shop is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays. Many of the bakery’s products can also be ordered online.
