The City of Elkhorn Parks and Recreation District will be hosting its fourth annual Night Under the Lights today.
The event kicks off at 5 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. in Elkhorn’s Harris Park behind the Elkhorn Area School District Administrative building off of North Jackson Street.
The evening will feature numerous events and activities including inflatables, carnival-style games, music and more. Ball games will also be played throughout the night.
Teams playing Friday night have donated baskets for a raffle and the team with the most tickets will win a party of sort.
Additionally, all children – rookie through 14U – wearing their 2016 uniform will receive a free hot dog.
Parks and Recreation Director Wendy Meyer said nearly 1,000 people turned out for last year’s event.
Discounted 2016 Sunset Pool Memberships will also be available at the event. Discounts include $5 off for an individual membership and $10 off a family membership. The discount will be available through Saturday and are also available online at cityofelkhorn.org.
