A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 25 for an Elkhorn man charged with an eighth drunken driving offense.
Scott R. Liebnow, 57, was charged March 16 in Walworth County Circuit Court with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, eighth offense.
According to the criminal complaint, Liebnow’s girlfriend reported having a domestic dispute with Liebnow at about 12:15 a.m. March 15. She said Liebnow had been drinking alcohol all night and was very intoxicated when she told him to leave her house, according to the complaint. The woman said she returned his clothes to him at his house at about 9:50 a.m. March 15 and believed he was still intoxicated. She said he left on a three-wheeled motorcycle.
Liebnow was under bond conditions not to consume alcohol and to have a 0 alcohol level while operating any vehicle. Police located Liebnow, and he registered .015 on a preliminary breath test and .05 on an Intoximeter, according to the complaint.
