The three incumbents on the Elkhorn Area School District Board have filed candidacy papers, signifying their bid for re-election in the April election.

Board members Barb Fischer, vice-president, Matt O’Donell, clerk, and Susan Leibsle, president, have all filed candidacy papers with the district, Assistant to the District Administrator Jodi Essman said Tuesday morning. She said all three are running unopposed as no one else filed candidacy papers for their seats.

As for open seats on the City of Elkhorn Common Council, aldermanic districts up for election in the April 2015 election include District 1, currently held by Hoss Rehberg, District 2, currently held by Gary Payson, Sr., and District 5, currently held by newcomer Tom Myrin who was elected to fill the vacant position last spring.
