The Elkhorn community will honor its local veterans at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 at Tibbets Elementary, W5218 County A, Elkhorn.
The program will feature various patriotic themes including music along with the honoring of veterans from Elkhorn VFW Post 6375 and American Legion Post 45.
The posts will also present an honor guard at 11 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Wisconsin and Walworth Streets, outside of the Walworth County Government Center (old courthouse), 100 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn. The posts will present a rifle salute and “Taps.”
All veterans, along with spouses, are also invited to attend a Veterans Day dinner on Monday, Nov. 11 at the VFW Building, 16 S. Broad St., Elkhorn. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 p.m., with dinner following at 6:30 p.m.
The dinner costs $10 and will also feature County Veterans Services Officer Chris Jordan as a guest speaker and a musical salute to veterans.

The weekly Walworth County Support Our Troops Rally is held at 11 a.m. on Mondays at the Walworth County Government Center (old courthouse), 100 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn. The public and any friends or family members of those who have served Walworth County are always invited.
