EAHS to present comedy
What started as a pair of 14-year-old girls writing to lonely sailors takes a wild ride to the comedic side when they pretend they’re young women and the sailors on the other end of their letters be-gin to pursue them as future wives.
Such is a basis for the three-act comedy presented Friday and Saturday by students at Elkhorn Area High School.
The show begins at 7 p.m. both nights in the James A. Wehner Auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
The two teens, played by Ashley Van Lanen and Brittany Bates, can barely keep their heads above water when they masquerade as “women of the world” in order to en-gage the hearts of young sailors played by Alan Liner and Peyton Harmel.
But what started as an amusing diversion turns into riot of laughs when the men dock for the weekend and Aunt Sandra (played by Jennifer Mitchell) shows up to teach the girls a lesson.
The show is directed by Lisa Dettmann-Webb and Maggy Green.
