This weekend, audiences will be taken to a magical place where Oompa-Loompas sing and dance, and rooms are made of tasty chocolate, as the Lakeland Players bring to the stage Ronald Dahl’s “Willie Wonka Jr.”
“Willie Wonka Jr.” is a stage adaption of the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and features songs from the popular family movie “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”
The cast is made of young performers who have been busy practicing to bring their best interpretation of the script to the stage.
The show will be presented on Friday and Saturday and again next weekend, Aug. 17 and Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. each day at The Walworth County Performing Arts Center, 15 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn.
All tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce, 203 E. Walworth St., by calling (262) 492-2731, or online at www.lakeland-players.org
