Virtual open houses to provide information
Thanks to a grant from The United Way, Bloom360 Learning Community in East Troy will offer a few financial, need-based, partial scholarships for Walworth County kids ages 11 to 18 with neuro-diverse needs who enroll in the school’s new Roots Program.
Admissions for the new program is open now, with the next semester starting in the fall of 2021.
The Roots Program includes social-emotional growth opportunities and project-based learning with individual and small group projects as a supplement to the child’s homeschool program. The program is designed for homeschool families who are looking to supplement their existing program with activities and a small peer group, with guidance from a multi-disciplinary team of educators, occupational therapists and a social worker.
Bloom360 provides a whole-child approach to learning and growing with a focus on five key areas of human development – social, emotional, body, spirit (purpose) and mind. Spaces for children to engage in projects include the Create-it Studio (woodworking and art), a full kitchen, sensory gym and many sensory friendly learning spaces.
The school will host a virtual open house for parents at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2. The open house will be on the Zoom platform and will include information on the Roots Program and Bloom360’s Day School. For more information and to register, visit www.bloom360.org/events
