Area residents have the opportunity to serve on the local boards with the upcoming spring election. Interested candidates can obtain nomination papers from the village and school district, which are due by 5 p.m. Jan. 5, 2021.
Candidates could begin circulating nomination papers Dec. 1.
Board members selecting not to run for re-election need to file declarations of non-candidacy by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 25.
If more than two candidates file to seek any single seat – or more than double the available at-large seats – a primary election will be held Feb. 16, 2021, to narrow the field.
