Boy Scout Troop 92 and Cub Scout Troop 92 of East Troy are jointly participating in Scouting for Food. All donations will go directly to the local East Troy Food Pantry.
In past years, scouts would provide plastic grocery bags to local residents and collect the grocery-filled bags the following week. In support of the environment, BSA has chosen to use a more environmentally friendly format. This year, scouts are asking the community to help “Stuff the Trailer.”
In partnership with Frank’s Piggly Wiggly in East Troy, Boy Scout Troop 92 will be collecting food to “stuff” the troop camping trailer. The troop will then deliver the food to the food bank.
People may donate using one of three options:
- Visit the East Troy Frank’s Piggly Wiggly and purchase a pre-packaged $5 bag;
- If the resident received a flyer at their home, they can use a bag they already have and fill it with non-perishable items. Leave the bag of items outside their door and a scout will pick it up on March 14; and
- Drop off non-perishable items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Stuffing the Scouting Trailer in the East Troy Frank’s Piggly Wiggly parking lot.
