It has taken several months to get paperwork in order, a lease ready and other problems addressed, but the Intergenerational East Troy board of directors is ready to unveil plans for the East Troy Area Intergenerational Community Center.
Information about the new center was first released at a recent East Troy School Board meeting and covered in the newspaper.
A more detailed account of what is planned for the center will be part of a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Ivan’s Backstage, East Troy.
A presentation is scheduled that includes an explanation of the intent of an intergenerational setting and examples of events that will take place once the center is open. In addition, the meeting will allow for questions and for opportunities to volunteer much-needed help to finish the project.
Organizers say as the word about the center has spread, many have asked, “When can we help?” The answer is now.
Plan to attend the meeting on Thursday to hear about the new opportunity to address many of the needs that have been identified in the greater East Troy area.
