Healey’s ice fishing jamboree set for Feb. 9

After being postponed earlier this month because of unsafe ice conditions, Healey’s Bait Shop will hold its ice fishing jamboree on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Fundraiser to benefit local families facing crisis

Mother Nature has cooperated and the Healey Bait Shop jamboree has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, on Lake Beulah in East Troy.

The fundraiser will run from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. with sign in starting at 4:30 a.m. at Lindey’s on Beulah, W1340 Beach Road, East Troy.

Because of a scheduling conflict, Gerard’s Embrace cannot partake in the jamboree, but there will still be inside raffle items, 50/50 raffle, auger raffle, bakery, hot drinks and sandwiches available. Gerard’s Embrace will have a summer fundraiser.

Healey’s has one family chosen (the father has been battling cancer), who will receive 50 percent of the funds raised from the jamboree. If there is not a second family, the other half of the money will benefit a ministry that directly helps local children.

Anyone who knows a local family facing an unexpected crisis that could benefit from this fundraiser, can call 262-642-3677, as soon as possible, and leave a message.

Healey’s Bait Shop is at W1838 St Peters Road in East Troy.
