A 38-year-old East Troy man is dead after his motorcycle struck a tree Saturday night.
According to a press release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, Walter M. Kraayvanger Jr. crashed his red 1999 Kawasaki motorcycle into a tree Pleasant Lake Road just south of Oakwood drive, in the Town of LaGrange at about 9 p.m. on Sept. 17.
When sheriff’s deputies along with Lauderdale-LaGrange Fire and Rescue units arrived, they found Kraayvanger lying unresponsive in the ditch a short distance away from the crash site. He was alone and pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to the press release, the initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was northbound on Pleasant Lake Road when it left the road to the right (east).
