The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps is returning to East Troy at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 6. The group will perform on the East Troy High School football field. Admission is free. Founded in 1938, the Madison Scouts are one of the oldest continually operating groups competing on the Drum Corps International Tour today. The all-male corps is a two-time DCI World Champion (1975, 1988) that is well known for its high-energy, audience-focused productions. Their 2015 repertoire includes: Fanfare (featuring “Gotta Dance,” “Good Morning,” “I Got Rhythm” and “NYC” by Arthur Freed, Nacio Herb Brown, George Gershwin and Charles Strouse; “Moses” by Roger Edens; “The Boy Next Door” by Hugh Martin, Ralph Blane Traffic Jammin’ by JeffTyzik; and the Finale (featuring “Get Happy” and “Happy Days Are Here Again” by Harold Arlen and Milton Ager.
