High School drama students to present ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

The East Troy High School drama club will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” March 27-29 at the school, 3128 Graydon Ave.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
“I believe that this is the first time the East Troy High School drama club has performed Shakespeare on stage,” director Deb Williamson said. “We chose ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ because it is one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays and one of his easiest for all ages to understand.
“It is full of comedy, action, magic and fun. There are lovers and fairies, royalty and clowns (The Mechanicals). Even if the audience does not understand every single word, they will understand the story and appreciate the beauty of the language.”
Cast members include: Abe Oxley-Hase as Lysander; Tyler Fridley as Demetrius; Alex Schmieden as Hermia; Lexi Mitchell as Helena; Jacob Thoreson as Oberon and Egeus; MaiLei Meyers as Titania; Grace Christianson as Puck; Jordan Paullin as Nick Bottom, the Weaver; McKenna Farmer as Quince, the Carpenter; Matt Fox as Flute, the Bellows Mender; Natalie Mengel as Snout, the Tinker; Jessi Falk as Snug, the Joiner; Nick Schmieden as Starveling, the Tailor; Teagan Oxley-Hase as First Fairy and Philostrate; Jared Paullin as Theseus; and Kelli Larson as Hippolyta.
Court members and fairies are: Austin Felske, Brett McAllister, Clark Hudek, Courtney Johnson, Katrina Schell, Lindsi Starrett andSina Drews.
Brooke Bartlett is the stage manager.
