An East Troy man died the evening of June 1 when his motorcycle collided with a car on Highway 20 near Honey Creek Road in the Town of Waterford.
The Racine Journal Times reports that Brian J. Prochniak, 44, died after being thrown from his motorcycle following the collision, which was reported at 6:05 p.m.
According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, Prochniak was driving west when he entered a curve and his motorcycle collided with a compact car that was headed east.
Prochniak, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington by Waterford Fire and Rescue where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car and a passenger both suffered minor injuries in the crash. They were wearing seatbelts, according to authorities.
The Racine County Investigation Bureau continues to probe the cause of the crash with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol Accident Reconstruction Unit.
