The East Troy Community School District will celebrate Youth Art Month with an art show from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 at East Troy High School, 3128 Graydon Ave.
Student artwork from grades kindergarten through 12 will be on display in the annual exhibition.
“Literally hundreds of sculptures, drawings and paintings will be featured in the hallways and the library,” said Nicole Tentoni, East Troy Middle School Art teacher
The event will coincide with Band-o-rama, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. Bands in grades five through 12 will perform in ETHS gym 3 from 2-3 p.m.
“The arts, both musical and visual arts, continue to thrive in East Troy schools, and serve as a vital outlet to many students,” Tentoni said. “The arts encourage children to be problem solvers, critical thinkers and nurture creativity, all vital assets in today’s increasingly diverse job market.”
Actually this is the 41st year for Band-o-rama, and the date is Sunday March 2nd, and not the 3rd.
