The East Troy High School girls basketball team is pulling together to support an East Troy family at a time they need it most.
After a brave battle with cancer for many years, Maureen Lindow, 45, lost her life on Nov. 28. She was the mother of Mackenzie, Dayne and Lauren and wife of Dave Lindow, longtime East Troy High School tennis coach.
Maureen was a teacher at St. Peter’s School in East Troy for 10 years prior to teaching at Tibbets Elementary in Elkhorn. She coached tennis in East Troy for six years.
The Trojans are hosting a benefit to support the Lindow family when they battle the Franklin Sabers on Monday, Feb. 18.
“She and her family have touched the lives of many. We would like to show our support for this remarkable family,” the East Troy High School girls basketball team said.
The fundraiser will include a bake sale and silent auction.
The silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. and go until the start of the fourth quarter.
