The Town of Delavan board recently approved a conditional use permit amendment that will allow Lakeland Community Church, N3181 Highway 67, to complete a remodeling project and addition. The amendment also needs to be approved by Walworth County.
Supervisor Kim Jedlicka said at the Sept. 21 town board meeting the church is working to improve its children’s programing. It will enclose a small 177-square-foot building area that will become an indoor playground. Some interior rooms will also be remodeled for a total of 18,000 square feet of interior alterations. Outdoor gathering spaces will also be upgraded.
The fire department is requiring the addition of a new access driveway to the building to provide better fire protection.
