The Village of Darien will host its annual Tree Lighting Festival Saturday, Dec. 5.
It will begin at the Darien Village Hall, 24 N. Wisconsin St. at 6 p.m. with a candle-lit walk to the Darien Public Library, 47 Park St.
The tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. followed by a variety of activities at the library including: pictures with Santa, cookies and beverages, s’mores over the fire and gift bags for kids.
Guests are asked to help fill the stocking for the Darien Food Pantry.
Many businesses and community organizations help with the event through donations, which organizers are thankful for.
The event is presented by the Darien Parks, Recreation and Facilities Committee.
