Fire causes evacuation

A fire in the wall at the Walmart in Delavan last weekend led to the store being evacuated for a short time. According to Delavan Fire Chief Tim O’Neill, the call came in a little before 2 p.m. Oct. 10 and damage was confined to a freezer and electrical wiring. The store, which is at 1819 E. Geneva St., was closed for about an hour while crews dealt with the fire, O’Neill said. (Submitted photo)
