It’s Lakefest time as Delavan Friends of the Park are set to host Lakefest 2019 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.
The event is held at the Town of Delavan Community Park, 1220 S. Shore Dr, Delavan, and all are welcome to this free kick-off to summer event.
There will be a lot of fun for the whole family, free kids fishing from 9 to 11 a.m. and kids bouncy inflatables from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., organizers said.
And adding to the anticipation, this year for the first time, Lakefest will feature a Classic Car Show from noon to 6 p.m. featuring a first place trophy and other awards.
Lakefest will conclude with a Sock Hop dance featuring Freddy & the Cruisers in the Community Park Building from 6 to 9 p.m. so “be sure to bring your boogie shoes,” organizers said.
Guests are also advised to bring their appetites for the Outdoor Food Court that will feature food booths and food trucks from noon to 6 p.m. Beer, wine, soda, and water available will be available for purchase.
