An accused Town of Darien drug dealer and one of his suspected sellers are scheduled to appear in court June 12 while one of his suspected suppliers has pleaded guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
A second suspected supplier has been deported, according to online court records.
The suspected dealer, Christian Montano, 26, of the Town of Darien, is scheduled for a status conference June 12 in Walworth County Circuit Court. He pleaded not guilty March 27 to nine counts of manufacturing or delivering cocaine, one count as a party to a crime; and two counts of possession of cocaine.
Montano is charged with selling 404.62 grams – nearly a pound – of cocaine for $18,850 during nine controlled buys in Delavan and Darien between July and February. He faces up to 257 years in prison and $910,000 in fines.
One of his suspected suppliers, Martin Sotelo Guzman, 34, of the Town of Darien, was deported and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. He is charged with manufacturing or delivering cocaine as a party to a crime and identity theft for financial gain.
