The 10th annual Delavan Train Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday throughout downtown Delavan.
More than 40 train layouts, 35 of which are active operating layouts, will be displayed at the American Legion Hall, 111 S. Second St. The Legion Hall is among 18 downtown locations that are within walking distance that will show exhibits. A trolley will also be available to take visitors between locations.
The show’s exhibitors create family-friendly layouts some of which have seek-and-find activities or buttons that operate accessories on the layout. Some layouts give attendees a chance to take the wheel. New this year will be a free trackless train ride.
“We have great exhibitors who are interested in entertaining and educating. That is one of the things that makes the Delavan show special.” Said Brad Deschner, the original show coordinator and founder of the event.
The show continues to grow every year, and more than 4,000 visitors attended last year. The event features free admission, free parking, food and beverages and door and raffle prizes.
