School referendum fails

Tuesday’s election resulted in no upsets in Delavan or Darien.
All incumbents retained their seats on the Delavan Common Council, according to these unofficial vote totals Tuesday:

District 2 alderman
Bruce DeWitt (inc.) 320
Sam Riggs 139
District 3 alderman
Jeff Johnson (inc.) 317
Ken Wargo 172
First District alderman Gary Stebnitz retained his seat uncontested.
In the Town of Darien, incumbents also retained their seats, albeit by a narrower margin. Vote totals, according to unofficial results Tuesday, are:

Races were uncontested in the Town of Delavan and the Village of Darien and for the Delavan-Darien School Board.
For the Delavan Town Board, incumbents Chris Marsicano and Barb Militello retained their seats uncontested.
For the Darien Village Board, Cheryl Kaufenberg and incumbents Robert Wenzel and Philip Putman were elected to three seats uncontested.
For the Delavan-Darien School Board, incumbents Steve Logterman and Chad Kort were re-elected uncontested.
An incumbent was ousted for the Walworth County Board seat that represents the Delavan and Darien areas. Vote totals for the District 5 supervisor seats are:
