Enjoy the sounds, smells and tastes of summer this weekend during the 44th annual Festival Summer.
Hosted by the Elkhorn Rotary Club, the festival will be held at Veterans Park on the square.
The Festival of Summer will run from 11 a.m. Friday, July 26 until 11 p.m. Saturday, July 27. It will feature delicious brats, chicken sandwiches, roasted corn, as well as a variety of other foods.
The public is encouraged to walk around and visit the many crafters and vendors that will line the square.
Stick around Friday night for the Walworth County Fair’s Country Idol Ten Year Reunion that will begin at 6 p.m.
Live music will follow on Saturday with the country stylings of Most Wanted starting at 4 p.m., followed by the soulful blues of Organ Grinders at 6 p.m. Cover band Novy Spinners will cap of the night at 8 p.m.
The Festival of Summer is held in conjunction with Elkhorn’s Maxwell Street Days, festival goers are encouraged to shop downtown Elkhorn for great buys. In addition, the White River Cycle Club will hold its annual bike ride Saturday — visit whiterivercycleclub.com for details.

• 3 p.m. – Zumba with Mandi;
• 5 p.m. – Senior Idol contest; and
• 6 p.m. – Walworth County Fair Country Idol Ten Year Reunion “Singing for A Cause.”
Saturday’s events include:
• 9:30 a.m. – Walworth County Cloggers;
• 10:30 a.m. – AKF Flying Dragons demo
• 12 p.m. – Toe to Toe ballet;
• 1 p.m. – Yoga conducted by Essential Yoga and Massage;
