The Delavan-Darien School District, a partnership of students, families, staff, and community, is looking at making adjustments to its 4-year-old kindergarten program to better meet the needs of district families.
Parents of current or incoming 4-year-old kindergarten students (age birth to 3) are invited to attend a listening session at Wileman Elementary School at 6 p.m. Jan. 29.
The session will include an information presentation from Delavan-Darien Superintendent Robert Crist, Ed.D., Director of Pupil Services Sara Halberg, Ed.D., and Community Action staffers Becky Hayd and Mary Sue Reutebach.
The district is currently negotiating a partnership agreement with Community Action’s Preschool for Creative Learning. If approved, the partnership would include a district-sponsored 4-year-old kindergarten class taught at the Preschool for Creative Learning. Children enrolled in the program would receive before- and after-school care at the same facility, making it a desirable choice for Delavan-Darien parents with specific childcare needs.
For more information about the proposed partnership, contact Halberg at 728-2642 Ext. 4807.
